MISSION SUNDAY planning team … Building projects always encounter hidden issues! – a slight delay with ours means that a number of events planned for the new parish centre over the weekend (including a special birthday celebration, our Missions Sunday displays, and a Mothers’ Union cake stall) are now to be housed in the Church itself. Hence the need for humour (lots of) notebook, pen, patience, and prayers of thanksgiving for our general good fortune in this household of faith that knows such rich blessing. Our Missions Sunday celebrates the various charitable institutions that St Michael’s supports during the course of each year, many of them working with people and situations of real emergency and / or need. Our Kaleidoscope Mass has been teaching us at St Michael’s that “it’s all a matter of perspective in the end” …
